Release Notes: Duplicate Transaction Prevention

We are thrilled to announce a new feature that has been deployed to our transaction processing. With this update, we have implemented a system to block duplicate transactions, ensuring a smoother and more streamlined experience for our merchants and their customers.

About This Feature

  1. Blocking Duplicate Donations:
When making a transaction on our platform, if a user attempt to submit a transaction with the same credit card number, same amount, and on the same page ID as a previous successful transaction, our system will now prevent the transaction from processing for the next 5 minutes. Instead, an error message will be displayed on the page, stating, “Request blocked due to duplicate payment.”
  2. Enhanced User Experience:
We understand that accidental duplicate transactions can be frustrating for customers and the merchants that receive them. This new feature is designed to prevent such occurrences and improve the overall user experience on our platform. By blocking duplicate transactions, we ensure that each contribution is unique and processed only once.

It’s important to note that if you make a transaction with a different amount, page ID, or credit card number, the transaction will proceed smoothly without any issues. This update specifically targets duplicate transactions and does not hinder legitimate contributions.

We are committed to continuously enhancing our donation platform to provide the best experience for our valued donors. With the implementation of this feature, we aim to eliminate the inconvenience and confusion that can arise from accidental duplicate donations.

Thank you for choosing RallyPay, and we hope that this new feature will further improve your fundraising experience. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this update, please do not hesitate to contact our dedicated support team. They are available to assist you and provide the necessary guidance.

Best regards,
