Release Notes: Password Policies & Account Security

We are thrilled to announce that we have implemented important updates to our password policies to bolster the security of our customers’ accounts. These updates introduce stricter requirements and additional measures to protect against unauthorized access and ensure the utmost security of your information. Let’s delve into the key changes we have made:

Lockout after 6 Failed Attempts:
To safeguard against unauthorized access attempts, our systems now implement a lockout mechanism after six consecutive failed login attempts. This vital security feature mitigates the risk of automated password-guessing attacks, ensuring that only authorized users can access our services.

Minimum Password Length and Complexity Requirements:
To bolster the strength of customer passwords, we have introduced new minimum length and complexity requirements. Going forward, all customer passwords must be at least seven characters long and contain a combination of numeric and alphabetic characters. This enhancement ensures that passwords are more resilient against potential security threats.

Periodic Password Changes:
To further enhance account security, we now require customers to periodically change their passwords. This proactive measure helps safeguard your account by regularly updating access credentials. Users will receive guidance on when and under what circumstances password changes are necessary, ensuring the utmost security.

Password History Requirements:
To prevent the reuse of passwords, we have implemented password history requirements. When creating a new password, customers are now prohibited from using any of their last four passwords. This restriction promotes the adoption of unique and distinct passwords for each account login, significantly reducing the risk of compromised credentials.

These updates form a comprehensive framework for robust password management, effectively bolstering the security of our customers’ accounts. We strongly encourage all customers to adhere to these new policies and ensure that their passwords meet the strengthened requirements. By creating strong, unique passwords and regularly updating them, you play an active role in fortifying the security of your account.

At RallyPay, we prioritize the security and protection of your personal information. These enhancements to our password policies demonstrate our unwavering commitment to providing a secure environment for our merchants. By adhering to these updated guidelines, you can confidently access our services, knowing that your account is safeguarded against unauthorized access.

If you have any questions or need further assistance regarding these updates, our support team is here to help. We appreciate your continued trust in our platform and remain dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of account security.

Stay secure, stay protected!

Best regards,
Derek Belfield
